Thorben Meier is Head of Strategic Planning at cpz Ogilvy Public Relations in Germany. He is responsible for the development of strategic and creative PR concepts to raise global awareness for both existing and potential clients. In addition he coordinates the agency’s new business activities within our international agency network.
Thorben heads the German Digital Influence team of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide. In this position, he does not only support clients in reaching their target groups in the complex web 2.0, but also teaches internal Ogilvy employees in how to address the exiting and demanding sector of social media.
Before he joined Ogilvy in 2002, Thorben began his career in the PR department of a leading German savings bank. Afterwards, he started as consultant in a communications agency in Duesseldorf. The focus of his work lay on capital market communication of stock exchange listed companies and the communicative support in the context of IPOs.
Thorben did an apprenticeship as a bank clerk. Subsequently, he completed his business skills studying marketing and controlling in Essen.
