Tania Chew

Tania is a Senior Account Manager at Ogilvy PR. She has over eight years experience in PR and guerrilla marketing, with expertise in both traditional communications and new media. Her primary accounts include Canon, Nokia and Intel while her role in the 360° Digital Influence practice gives her responsibility for driving digital influence and new media penetration across all Ogilvy PR clients.

Prior to joining Ogilvy PR, Tania was Chief Publicist at muvee Technologies, where she led the company’s global marketing and communications efforts to increase mindshare for its multi-platform software products in North America and Europe. She played an integral role in enhancing muvee’s brand presence by combining traditional PR tactics with an effective new media outreach strategy, resulting in extended alliances with prominent US bloggers and online influencers.

In her role at muvee, Tania collaborated with top-tier global customers such as HP, Dell, Nokia, LG, Sony, Olympus, Nikon and Creative Technology on joint PR and marketing initiatives. She also managed muvee’s annual presence at major trade events such as the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) including facilitating C-level briefings with journalists from international publications like Forbes, USA Today, PC Magazine, and Lockergnome.com.

As a consultant at Huntington Communications, Tania developed strategic communications campaigns and managed investor relations for clients such as Bombardier Aerospace, Royal Sporting House and United Food Holdings.

A frequent public speaker, Tania moderated the session “Opportunities In Channeling New Media Platforms” at the Strategic Public Relations ‘07 Conference and Workshop, which was organised by Pacific Conferences in September 2007.

Tania holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Business from the Pennsylvania State University.
