Emily brings a broad range of skills in both corporate and technology public relations to Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide (Ogilvy PR). Emily has profound media relations experience from working with the Ogilvy PR corporate and technology practice and through clients such as SAVVIS, TANDBERG, Cisco, DuPont, Lenovo and iBiquity Digital. Emily has experience in securing C-level interviews and articles both in top-tier media and trade publications. Additionally, Emily has set up numerous media and analyst briefings both for major tradeshows, including the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), and on an ongoing basis. Finally, through her work with DuPont, SAVVIS and TANDBERG, Emily has worked very closely with the “green” issue for both B2B and consumer audiences.
Emily began her career in public affairs at the Smithsonian Institution where she was responsible for supporting a wide variety of the institutions local education programs while also regularly acting as a public affairs representative for the institution. Immediately prior to Ogilvy PR, Emily worked in public affairs at the American Waterways Operators, an industry trade association, where she was the primary editor of the association’s bi-weekly newsletter.
Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Virginia Tech. She resides in Arlington, VA but periodically visits her hometown of Pittsburgh, PA where the rest of her family resides.
