A member of Ogilvy PR’s technology practice for more than 10 years, Dan is the resident expert in media relations strategy for B2B clients focused on storage, networking and telecommunications as well as B2C technology brands.
His client experience includes the development of strategy and communications programs for Hitachi Data Systems, Crosswalk, Inc, the Storage Networking Industry Association, Sun Microsystems (Storage and Services divisions), LEGATO Software as well as Intel, Qwest Communications, Level 3 Communications and several other technology brands. Dan has architected PR programs that embrace both traditional and new media tactics in support of product launches, partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions, notably EMC’s acquisition of LEGATO and Qwest’s merger with U S WEST.
Prior to his work with Qwest, Dan was responsible for developing, launching and driving Nexabit Networks’ public relations vision. His work with the company’s media relations and visibility campaigns resulted in the naming of the company to Red Herring’s “Top 50 Private Companies” list as well as securing the CEO as one of Red Herring’s “Top 10 Entrepreneurs of 1999.” Nexabit was acquired by Lucent Technologies in 1999 for $1.2 B (USD)–the largest pre-product acquisition in history.
Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in management with a concentration in marketing from Eckerd College.
