Just a sample of some of the tweets from @wmata, the Washington Metro Area Transit Authority's Twitter handle during the tragic accident on Monday.

While the WMATA has taken some, minor steps in order to engage with the THOUSANDS of daily riders, they have fallen well short. And this latest tragedy only makes this shortcoming more evident.

Simply copying and pasting the verbatim of your recorded system with words such as "disruption," "train malfunction," "police situation," in no way shows transparency, clarity, or even a modicum of compassion and understanding for the people who are so reliant on your service.</description>
